Andrew Skeet - Finding time

 Betyg

Andrew Skeet is an English musician with a varied and impressive career. He's worked with artists including Sinead O'Connor, Suede, George Michael and the Boo Radleys, worked with Neil Hannon on The Divine Comedy and productions at the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre and worked with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has now signed a record deal with Sony Classical, and this is the first album he is releasing under that deal.

While the music here does feature instruments that you'll find in an orchestra - there are plenty of strings used, I hate to call it classical since that implies something more dated and for a full orchestra, whereas this music has a fresh modern feel to it, even if it does have much in common with classical music.

The music here is absolutely fantastic - beautiful and atmospheric. His work on TV scores definitely shows in this album as at quite a few points I could envisage watching a documentary sequence with this music accompanying the images.

This truly is a fantastic album that is well worth a listen.

"Finding time" will be released on 10th July 2015
