BEACH, PLEASE! Festival 2024. Travis Scott comes to Romania, for the first time

Beach, Please! is the largest festival dedicated to urban culture in Eastern Europe. In 2024, the festival takes place for 5 days, between July 10-14, in Costinești.

Travis Scott is coming to the BEACH, PLEASE! Festival 2024

Rapper Travis Scott is coming to Romania for the first time. The artist will perform at the BEACH, PLEASE! Festival 2024.

Travis Scott is known for his albums ASTROWORLD and JACKBOYS.

“Travis Scott is one of the biggest artists in the world and we are extremely honored to finally be able to bring him to our festival. This year he will hold shows in only two locations in Europe: Vienna and Costinesti.

Talks with his agents started as early as last September. He is, by far, the most expensive artist in our line-up", stated Andrei Șelaru (Selly), co-founder of the festival.

He has won six Grammy Awards and one Billboard Award. Among his most famous songs are: Sicko Mode, Goosebumps, Highest in the Room, Butterfly Effect.

The deadly rampage produced during the Astroworld, Texas 2021 festival
On November 5, 2021, approximately 50,000 spectators gathered at NRG Park in Houston to witness a Travis Scott concert, when a stampede occurred in which 10 people died.

Due to the lack of air and space, some of them lost consciousness and were trampled by other spectators.

Following the cries for help, the organizers waited several tens of minutes before stopping the concert and evacuating the area where the concert was taking place.

Among the victims was a nine-year-old child who died in that stampede, an incident in which approximately 100 people were injured.

Numerous complaints have been filed against the organizers of the Astroworld festival, accused of not taking measures to guarantee the safety of the participants.

The complaints targeted Travis Scott - present on stage at the time of the tragedy -, the promoters of the show, the administrators of the space where the concert took place and several companies associated with the organization of the event.

The complaint alleges that Travis Scott had "already incited chaos" at previous concerts and accuses rapper Drake of contributing to the events by continuing to perform while the crowd "got out of control."

According to other accounts, Travis Scott stopped singing when he saw what was happening to the fans near the stage.

The singer declared himself "absolutely devastated" by what happened, according to Agerpres.

The organizers announced that they are extending the festival by two more days, compared to the initial period
The organizers of the festival announced that they are extending the festival by two more days, compared to the initial period (3 days, between July 11-13), because they have increased the number of artists present on the stage by the sea.

Tickets already purchased remain valid for 5 days of the festival.

"See you between July 10-14 at the Beach, Please! We keep the same energy, but we increase the lineup and amplify the fun so that you can have the best festival experience!

The tickets or subscriptions purchased until now are valid for all 5 days!", announced on Facebook the organizers of Beach, Please! Festival.

Many fans criticized the organizers' decision to extend the festival by two more days, arguing that they had already booked their accommodation for the initial dates, and that during this period the tickets for hostels and hotels became more expensive.
