| CMX CMX is a rock band founded in Tornio in 1985 and later a South-inspired rock band. One of the best-known features of the band is the singular bassist A. W. Yrjänä's lyrics, inspired by mythologies and folklore. Also known as poet Yrjänä has been the main composer of the band. Since the beginning of the 1990s, guitarists have been Janne Halmkrona and Timo Rasio. The current drummer is Olli-Matti Wahlström. The band, which started with Hardcore, has tried a variety of styles, including progressive rock, during its history. CMX is one of the most successful and long-lasting Finnish rock bands. The band has won the Rumble Best Ensemble of the Rumble Rumors for many years and even once in the magazine's best ever band
