  Roskilde Festival

Roskilde Festival 2024: First wave of artists announced, including Kali Uchis, PJ Harvey, Romy, and more.

The 52nd edition of the iconic Danish non-profit festival runs from 29 June to 6 July next year and will feature more than 170 music acts. PJ Harvey, Kali Uchis, Romy, Trueno, The Armed and Blondshell are among the first 16 acts announced for the 2024 line-up. Tickets are on sale now.

Denmark's Roskilde Festival is one of the longest standing festivals in the game. Today, the non-profit festival-which donates all proceeds to humanitarian and cultural activities that benefit youth-announces its first batch of names to play next year's festival.

Colombian/American singer-songwriter Kali Uchis and UK veteran PJ Harvey will be among the headliners at next year's Roskilde Festival, following a 2023 line-up that included Lil Nas X, Burna Boy, Kendrick Lamar and many others.

A diverse line-up full of young and progressive artists
The inaugural announcement for Roskilde Festival 2024 spans across multiple styles, genres and continents, also featuring Argentinian rapper Trueno, American hardcore punk collective The Armed, and Japan's Violent Magic Orchestra.

"We have a long-running history of being a progressive festival with an international perspective, and we consistently push ourselves to further that purpose. We aim to inspire every single one of our 130,000 festival participants with a diverse line-up characterized by artistic curiosity and groundbreaking headliners presented in a unique festival setting", says Anders Wahrén, Roskilde Festival's Program Director.

Unfolding dreams for a better future Roskilde Festival is the biggest music festival in Northern Europe and is located just 20 miles outside of Copenhagen, offering a multitude of camping solutions as well as an onsite train station. The festival will also present a vast line-up of interdisciplinary art and activism through talks, workshops and performances.

"Roskilde Festival is a very communal event where dreams and new ideas for a better tomorrow are being addressed, exchanged, cultivated and eventually tried out by our participants. And music and art play a big part in inspiring us to even think and sense those new ideas to begin with", says Anders Wahrén.

Tickets for Roskilde Festival 2024 are on sale now. A full festival ticket gives access to the festival from 29 June to 6 July and costs DKK 2,400 (approx. €320) plus fee. One day tickets cost DKK 1,200 (approx. €160) plus fee.

Signe Lopdrup, Roskilde Festivals administrerende direktør, siger:

Rap star Kendrick Lamar tops the bill at Roskilde Festival.

The 33-year-old rapper straight out of Compton takes his place among the headliners in the lineup for Roskilde Festival number 50 in 2021.

Roskilde Festival gives its participants one more thing to look forward to in the new year.

Rapper, songwriter, producer, Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar returns to the festival in 2021.

Kendrick Lamar is certainly among the greatest rap artists of his generation. He has repeatedly impressed audiences as well as critics, and hip-hop icons such as Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have hailed him as 'The New King of the West Coast'.

Roskilde Festival's head of programme, Anders Wahrén, says:

"We are on the threshold of a new year, and we think there is a need and reason to be hopeful. That's why we're revealing another act for next year's festival."

"Despite his relatively young age, Kendrick Lamar is a modern legend and he has been one of the hottest wishes among our participants since he made his debut at Roskilde Festival in 2013. He's a show man but also a politically engaged artist with something on his mind, and he appeals to a wide audience without pandering."

Roskilde Festival has previously announced acts like The Strokes, Tyler, The Creator, Faith No More, HAIM, Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, Anderson . Paak & The Free Nationals, FKA twigs, Mayhem, Megan Thee Stallion, The Whitest Boy Alive, TLC and many more.
