Carola, is one of Sweden’s most iconic pop and schlager singers. She shot to fame in 1983 after winning Melodifestivalen with “Främling,” an album that sold around one million copies—making it the biggest‐selling album in Swedish history. She’s competed in Eurovision three times: in 1983 (3rd place), in 1991 when she won with “Fångad av en stormvind,” and in 2006 (5th place). Over her long career she’s explored a wide variety of styles, from pop and disco to hymns and folk music.
