It’s fair to say that UK quartet Skarlett Riot don’t lack confidence. As anyone that’s had the pleasure of witnessing this young four-piece live will attest to.
In an already jam-packed career Skarlett Riot have wowed audiences at Download (earning a 4K live review from Kerrang!) and Bloodstock, and have shared stages across the UK with the likes of Wednesday 13, D-A-D, Reckless Love, Heaven’s Basement, Periphery, Firewind, Black Spiders, Edguy, Taking Dawn, L.A Guns, Glamour Of The Kill, Crashdiet, Vains Of Jenna, Deaf Havana, Francesqa plus many more.

Formed back in 2010, this female-fronted band were soon taking their local scene by storm with their powerful, riff-led songs, blending melody and grit with a muscular garage rock’n’roll backbone. Add to that an ear for infectious hooks, and you have a band that not only has bags of attitude but the songs to back them up!

The band’s debut EP, the critically acclaimed "Villain", set the benchmark high and led to glowing praise within the rock community; Big Cheese, Kerrang, Powerplay, Rocksound were all glowing in their praise. The band released a music video in support of the EP which hit rotation on Scuzz and Kerrang TV which led to the band landed a slot at the prestigious Download festival where the band were invited to open the Pepsi Max stage. A chance they grabbed with both hands and earnt themselves another 4K review in Kerrang, as well as a place in Scuzz TV’s ‘Top 40 Bands Who Rocked Download’ piece.

2013 has seen the band release their debut album, ‘Tear Me Down’ to rave reviews across the rock press, including 4K’s in Kerrang, 4/5 in Big Cheese, 9/10 in Powerplay, 9/10 in Soundscape magazine amongst a plethora of amazing reactions across the board.
Their first single from the album, the anthemic ‘Faded Memory’ saw the band earning support from Radio 1, who added the band to their daytime playlist and led to the band being featured on national shows from Sara Cox, Greg James, Scott Mills and Huw Stephens amongst others. The band have also featured on Kerrang Radio as well as being added to the playlists of a host of regional shows.

The video for the band’s latest single ‘What We’ve Become’ has been added to Kerrang TV’s latest schedule and will once again be backed up with a far-reaching radio campaign to ensure that no-one is likely to forget Skarlett Riot anytime soon!
